Electrician

Applications are now being accepted for a temporary, full-time position of Electrician. The electrician’s duties will primarily involve the installation of CAT5 wiring and IT infrastructure throughout the School District. Applicants must have a valid B.C. driver’s license (Class 5), a B.C. Trade Certification as an Electrician (Class B) and a minimum of four years related experience at the journeyman level. 

 

The position is effective immediately to June 30, 2027. This position is directly supporting a project in IT and may need to be reposted for extended for the 2027-2028 school year.

 

The position is included in Local 801 of the Canadian Union of Public Employees. The hours are 8.0 hours per day, Monday through Friday, day shift. The starting wage is $38.80 for the first three months and will increase to $39.05 after successful completion of probation. The position is also eligible for any expected wage increases. Education Assistant On-Call

School District 46 is looking for supportive and qualified individuals to join our EA On-Call list. A certificate from an accredited program is required, but applicants who are enrolled and have completed a majority of their coursework may be considered. A valid first aid certificate is required.
