Speech Language Pathologist
The district welcomes applications for the temporary Speech-Language Pathologist position. This part-time (14 hours/week) itinerant position works closely with the team at Inclusion Support Services. The position starts immediately and is temporary until June 30, 2024 or the return of the incumbent, whichever occurs first. The position is included in Local 801 of the Canadian Union of Public Employees, and includes a comprehensive benefits package.

Custodial On-Call

We welcome applicants from experienced individuals to add to our Custodial On-Call list and to fill short-term, temporary positions on both day and afternoon shifts. A Grade 12 education is required and a Building Service Worker certificate is an asset. Successful applicants who do not have a BSW certificate will be provided the training. Applicants must be able to perform physical tasks such as disinfecting, vacuuming, scrubbing, and the moving of furniture and equipment to facilitate cleaning.
Custodian positions are included in Local 801 of the Canadian Union of Public Employees and the hourly rate of pay is between $28.00 to $31.00/hr. Full job descriptions for CUPE positions can be found on our website.
Clerical On-Call

School District No. 46 is looking for organized and enthusiastic individuals to join our Clerical On-Call team and to fill short-term temporary positions working in our schools and other district sites. Successful candidates will have a Grade 12 education, a minimum of 1 year recent, applicable work experience in an office environment, and exceptional communication and organizational skills.
The position requires the ability to multi-task and a high level of computer literacy in word processing, spreadsheets, and various database programs. Accounting experience and/or coursework would be considered an asset as would an Office Administration certificate and/or coursework. Successful applicants will be expected to pass the School District’s basic clerical test which includes an assessment of typing speed. Please include any transcripts with your application. Current wages are between $28.95 and $34.98 per hour.
Early Childhood Educator

We are looking for Early Childhood Educators to join our growing Learning and Innovation Department. ECEs lead before and/or after school care and work collaboratively with the kindergarten teacher to facilitate the seamless day for kindergarten and primary students. The current starting wage is $28.22 per hour.
The successful applicant must have an Early Childhood Education certificate (or evidence of significant coursework), have a valid BC Early Childhood Educator License to Practice (or expectation of receiving license within 6-12 months), a minimum of 3 years’ experience as an ECE in a licensed setting including experience working with children from birth to age 5 and experience in an after-school care program, and a valid Childsafe first aid certificate. Knowledge of the Ministry of Education and Child Care’s Early Learning Framework and experience in creating, organizing, planning and budgeting for an early learning program would be considered assets. Wage is between $32.76 and $33.01 per hour.
Education Assistant On-Call

School District 46 is looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our EA On-Call list. A certificate from an accredited program is required, but applicants who are enrolled and have completed a majority of their coursework may be considered. A valid first aid certificate is required. The wage range for this position is between $31.61 and $33.22 per hour.
