Kitchen Assistant

Kitchen Assistants support the Feeding Futures initiative, and work under the direction of the Feeding Futures Manager to facilitate a food program for students in the district. The successful applicant must have Grade 12 or the equivalent, completed a Culinary Arts Apprenticeship Program from an approved college or vocational institution, a valid Food Safe Certificate, a valid Driver’s License, and a valid First Aid Certificate. Early Childhood Educator

On-going recruitment

We are looking for Early Childhood Educators to join our growing Learning and Innovation Department. ECEs lead before and/or after school care and work collaboratively with the kindergarten teacher to facilitate the seamless day for kindergarten and primary students. The current starting wage is $28.22 per hour.

 

The successful applicant must have an Early Childhood Education certificate (or evidence of significant coursework), have a valid BC Early Childhood Educator License to Practice (or expectation of receiving license within 6-12 months), a minimum of 3 years’ experience as an ECE in a licensed setting including experience working with children from birth to age 5 and experience in an after-school care program, and a valid Childsafe first aid certificate. Knowledge of the Ministry of Education and Child Care’s Early Learning Framework and experience in creating, organizing, planning and budgeting for an early learning program would be considered assets. Wage is between $32.76 and $33.01 per hour.

A certificate from an accredited program is required, but applicants who are enrolled and have completed a majority of their coursework may be considered. A valid first aid certificate is required.
