Assistant Manager of Facilities

School District #46 is looking for a dynamic, experienced individual to join our management team. The Assistant Manager of Facilities is responsible for assisting the Manager of Facilities with matters relating to the supervision of custodial and maintenance employees, the administration of district facilities (currently 20 sites), and transportation logistics. Candidates with a proven record of working effectively with unionized employees, contractors, and provincial bodies of authority will be given priority. The hours of this full-time position will overlap with our afternoon shift for custodial and flexibility with hours in this management role is expected.

Early Childhood Educator

We are looking for Early Childhood Educators to join our growing Learning and Innovation Department. ECEs lead before and/or after school care and work collaboratively with the kindergarten teacher to facilitate the seamless day for kindergarten and primary students. The current starting wage is $28.22 per hour.

 

The successful applicant must have an Early Childhood Education certificate (or evidence of significant coursework), have a valid BC Early Childhood Educator License to Practice (or expectation of receiving license within 6-12 months), a minimum of 3 years’ experience as an ECE in a licensed setting including experience working with children from birth to age 5 and experience in an after-school care program, and a valid Childsafe first aid certificate. Knowledge of the Ministry of Education and Child Care’s Early Learning Framework and experience in creating, organizing, planning and budgeting for an early learning program would be considered assets. Wage is between $32.76 and $33.01 per hour.

A certificate from an accredited program is required, but applicants who are enrolled and have completed a majority of their coursework may be considered. A valid first aid certificate is required. The wage range for this position is between $31.61 and $33.22 per hour.
