Landscape Horticulturist

Applications are now being accepted for the temporary full-time position of Landscape Horticulturist, effective immediately to December 31, 2025 or the full return of the incumbent. Applicants must have a valid B.C. driver’s license (Class 5) and B.C. Trade Certification as Gardener or Horticulturist. A minimum of four years’ experience at the journeyman level is also required. The successful applicant must be willing to complete the Playground Safety Inspection course. The primary duties of the position are to provide landscaping services and outside grounds maintenance to the District Facilities.

Indigenous Support Worker (Aboriginal Support Worker) On-call

Sunshine Coast School District is expecting vacancies for Indigenous Support Workers. We are now accepting applications to add to our Indigenous Support Worker casual on-call list and to fill temporary positions and absences for Indigenous Support Workers. Successful candidates will have a Grade 12 education, certification as an Education Assistant (including CPI training and current first aid certification), and recent experience working with Indigenous students. Preference will be given to candidates with Indigenous ancestry (First Nations, Métis, or Inuit). Knowledge of sháshishálhem and shíshálh culture are an asset.

Custodial On-call

Come join our Custodial On-Call list! On-call Custodians fill short-term, temporary positions for both day and afternoon shifts. A Grade 12 education is required and successful applicants will have completed a Building Service Worker course or the equivalent in experience and/or coursework. Applicants must be able to perform physical tasks such as vacuuming, scrubbing, and the moving of furniture and equipment to facilitate cleaning.
Successful applicants who do not have a Building Service Worker’s certificate must attend and complete the training (date to be determined) which will be made available by the District. Kitchen Assistant

School District 46 is looking for a Kitchen Assistant to help in the Feeding Futures program. This 10 hours/week position is scheduled Mondays and Wednesdays and is effective immediately.
Kitchen Assistants support the Feeding Futures initiative, and work under the direction of the Feeding Futures Manager to facilitate a food program for students in the district. The successful applicant must have Grade 12 or the equivalent, completed a Culinary Arts Apprenticeship Program from an approved college or vocational institution, a valid Food Safe Certificate, and a valid First Aid Certificate. Education Assistant On-Call

School District 46 is looking for supportive and qualified individuals to join our EA On-Call list for the 2025/2026 school year. A certificate from an accredited program is required, but applicants who are enrolled and have completed a majority of their coursework may be considered. A valid first aid certificate is required.
