“Creating opportunities for innovation can spark great things within us” – Anonymous
We are launching our exciting second annual SD46 Week of Code from December 6th to 10th. This is a great opportunity to empower our learning community and embody our mission statement: ‘We support and inspire each student to experience joy and fulfillment in realizing their potential as a knowledgeable, confident, and contributing citizen in the global community.’
This week will bring many wonderful learning opportunities for the whole SD46 community. Let’s innovate and create, inspire critical thinking and problem solve together. We have many talented and skilled contributors for our special week, including: Science World, Gibson and Sechelt libraries, Kids Code Jeunesse, Book Creator expert Margaret Cooper, and CoderZ lead Pam Kaatz (District Inclusion Technology Teacher), as well as fascinating interviews with Technology and Coding experts in the field with Cathy Gordon (District Careers Coordinator). This is going to be an incredible week that will gather us all in various places and platforms to open new doors of belonging through innovation.
