New Trustee
At our January 10 Regular Board Meeting, we had the pleasure of welcoming newly elected Trustee Tracey McClelland. At that meeting Trustee McClelland took the School Trustee Oath of Office to abide by the School Act, and faithfully perform the duties of her office. Our thanks again to former Trustee Samantha Haines who served on the Board of Education so diligently for five years. We are very glad to be back to our full complement of seven trustees on the board. The Chief Elections Officer’s report and final Determination of Election Results can be viewed on page 24 in the January 10, 2024 Regular Board meeting agenda. https://sd46.diligent.community/document/13710/
HR Update
The SD46 Human Resources department has been busy and focused on hiring initiatives to add staff and on-call supports. Guided by the District’s vision, mission, values, and goals, the HR Department assists our employees and the Board of Education through leadership, management and services that support successful student learning. In the past decade, the added complexities of education systems have required School Districts to increase their capacity and skills in the area of Human Resources in order to respond to the rapidly changing educational environment and support the goal of continuous student improvement.
