Student visits engineering office in Vancouver

Erik Johnstone, a Chatelech Secondary Graduate, spent the day with Myles Davis, a grade 10 Chatelech Secondary Student, at his work on 'Take Your Kids to Work Day'. Erik works in Vancouver as a Project Manager/ Mechanical Engineer at Robert Allan Ltd. (Naval Architects and Marine Engineers). Myles said there was lots of information to take in and that he really liked seeing the whole design process from the idea to a finished product. They had a few of their ship designs available as a Virtual Reality model where people can explore the vessel and get a real sense of scale. What an opportunity!
