Ensouling Our Schools

“Ensouling our Schools” is a district-wide initiative that fosters a sense of unity and belonging in our educational spaces and is dedicated to decolonizing education. It is rooted in the values of personal responsibility, community, respect, and our belief that children are sacred. Our goal is to build a cohesive educational system where every individual’s unique gifts are celebrated and where Truth and Reconciliation through education is a lived reality. Symbolized by a braid, it represents our unified approach to transformative, inclusive education that honours our diversity and shared human experience. The Working Group invites all members of the Sunshine Coast Schools community to embrace Ensouling our Schools in their practice and learning.
