Annual School Powers Form

Principals, please complete the following online report form by the end of September. 

The completed form will be forwarded to Stephanie Murawsky (Superintendent’s Office), Nadine Slingerland (Payroll), and James Walton (HR). 

Confirmation of your Suspend and Direct Off appointments will be granted by Superintendent Kate Kerr via email.

The TIC allowance is $109.09 per month per TIC. The district covers the cost of one TIC. You can designate more than 1, but the school pays for additional appointments.
Suspend: Pursuant to Section 26 of the School Act, these staff members will be given the right to suspend students from school in the absence of a principal.
Direct-off: Pursuant to Section 177(4) of the School Act, these staff members will be given the right to direct persons to leave the school grounds and to require adequate assistance from a peace officer so that order can be restored, if necessary.
The individual(s) will receive an allowance.
Compensation for Meeting Attendance: SCTA – 0.1 payment in lieu per meeting to a maximum of 2.0 days based on 10 hours of participation in committee meetings CUPE – banks or gets paid at regular rate
