Dear SD46 Learning Community:
All SD46 schools will have a DELAYED START today, Friday, December 2nd, due to inclement weather.
The snow is causing unsafe road conditions for our school buses, staff and
family vehicles during the morning commute all along the Sunshine Coast. The weather forecast indicates an improvement in conditions in the later morning. We will, therefore, delay the start of school by 1.5 hours from your school’s typical bell schedule.

We had hoped that a delayed start would allow all buses to run. However, there are still some routes that will NOT be operating today for morning pick-up or afternoon drop-off:
-Halfmoon Bay
-Upper Roberts Creek
-Sandy Hook
-Tuwanek
-Pender Harbour
-Langdale
All other routes are running.
We will continue to monitor the conditions throughout the day and will communicate with families, staff, and the community if there are any further changes to the school day or busing.
We care about the safety of students, staff, and families and always want to make the best decision given the conditions.
Travel safely and stay warm,
School District 46 – Sunshine Coast
