Dear SD46 families,
Our hearts are heavy with the tragic news of what has happened in Texas. Safer Schools has provided us with a resource for Families: The National Child Traumatic Stress Network (NCTSN)’s Parent Guidelines for Helping Youth after the Recent Shooting. This resource covers common reactions, things I can do for myself, and things I can do for my child.
We hope this helps navigate the emotions and conversations that may arise.
