Chair's Update

Message from the Chair – November 2021

In October board chairs met in Vancouver where a key focus of our work was discussing the importance of strategic planning in supporting student achievement. The Framework for Enhancing Student Learning (FESL) is intended to formalize the strategic planning that boards do to support equity in student achievement by requiring that all boards to have strategic plans and report outcomes annually. Message from the Chair – April 2021

In April the Board and District focus in on innovation. Innovation is about finding new ways to do things, particularly by looking at current challenges and exploring different ways of tackling them. When I consider this topic, I think it can be easily argued that in the last year we have seen innovation and ingenuity like we haven’t seen in years before!
