Accessibility in Schools Survey

Dear Sunshine Coast School District Learning Community,

As part of our commitment to providing an inclusive and accessible education environment for all, School District 46 has formed an Accessibility Committee. The committee’s purpose is to advise the district in the development of an accessibility plan, ensuring that all individuals, including those with disabilities, can fully participate in and benefit from our programs, services, and facilities.

We value your input and invite you to share your experiences and insights regarding specific barriers faced by individuals with disabilities when accessing our school district programs, buildings, and information.

Your feedback will greatly contribute to our understanding of the accessibility issues that need to be addressed. By identifying these barriers, we can work towards finding effective solutions that promote equality and inclusivity for all members of our community.

In addition to identifying barriers, we would also like to highlight any accessibility features within the district that are working well. If you have encountered any positive experiences where accessibility has been effectively addressed, we would greatly appreciate your input. This will help us recognize and build upon the successful aspects of our accessibility initiatives.

Please take a few moments to share your thoughts, experiences, and suggestions by completing the online feedback form linked below by September 30th:

Thank you in advance for your participation and support. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of individuals with disabilities and ensure equal opportunities for all members of our community.
