School Volunteer Application Form

Dear Volunteer:

Thank you very much for offering to come in and help at our school(s). We really appreciate the time and effort volunteers put into the school(s). The following are guidelines that need to be followed as you participate in our school(s) activities.

1. Please check in and out at the front desk as we need to know who is in our school in case of a fire or earthquake.

2. Please follow the teacher's procedures during fire and earthquake evacuation whether it is a drill or the real occurrence.

3. Acquaint yourself with the school rules and expectations so that you can help support what we are working towards.

4. Please remember that anything you see or hear at school is confidential. Our school district has a code of ethics which all have to abide by. It is important that a child's right to privacy be maintained. Whether someone is having troubles academically or there is an incident of misbehavior, these events should stay in the classroom and not be further discussed.

5. If you have a concern with a parent or a staff member, please talk to that person first. Most problems are easily resolved this way. If the concern has not been resolved then you should go to the principal.
