SD46 Welcomes Student Trustee

The trustees of School District 46 are very pleased to welcome Jessica Carroll to the role of student trustee for the 2019/2020 school year. Ms. Carroll was sworn in on September 11th at the regular meeting of the Board in Gibsons.

Jessica Carroll commented on her new position, “I am very excited and honoured to represent students and work with the administration of School District 46 in this upcoming school year. I’ve always felt passionate about education and I believe that student voice is a very important aspect in fostering the best educational environment and culture possible. Working with my peers on the District Student Leadership Team over the past year has been an amazing experience and I’m keen to have the opportunity to represent their input and perspective in Board discussions. I’m really looking forward to this year to develop and enhance student voice in our district and I’m sure there will be many great experiences along the way.”
