10 students recently completed the second Firefighter academy, demonstrating their skills gained over the two-week spring break training. Hosted by members of our local fire hall and supported by Chief Pike, students gained valuable job and life skills during this strenuous training session. Everyone was impressed by their commitment. United Way School’s Out initiative supports the needs of grade 7 students as they transition from elementary school to high school through well-supported sports, arts, social-emotional learning, and cultural after-school programming. Elphinstone Wrestling Make History Again! Written by Coach Eric Sullivan Elphinstone not only made history, they did the seemingly impossible. 492 wrestlers qualified for the BC Provincial High School Championships. 8 wrestlers from Elphinstone and 1 from Chatelech headed over to the Coliseum, in search of wrestling glory.
