1. Circle of Care: Students
1. The Indigenous Advisory Circle met in December. The Circle considered program and work and provided input into the upcoming Environmental Action Plan with an indigenous lens. (1h, 1i)

We were fortunate to have a group of 16 students along with their teacher from Sacred Heart School in Moga, India for an inaugural two week visit to learn more about each other’s countries, cultures and schools. It is a very unique opportunity to have an international group visit from India and build connections between our two communities. Their trip included visits to all the communities on the Sunshine Coast and time spent learning more about our local Indigenous cultures. Pictured here is the closing ceremony at Elphinstone Secondary and learning in our community with Teacher Barry Krangle. Thank you to all of our community who made their trip a memorable and educational experience!

Winter holiday activities abound across the district! From Santa & “Reindeer” (pony) visits to gingerbread house making to pancake breakfasts, SD46 knows how to celebrate the season!!

Winter concerts and activities are happening across the district delighting families and bringing a feeling of the season. Thank you to all the energy and hard work from SD46 staff in making these very special traditions come to life again this year and to all the student performers for preparing and sharing their work with our community.

The Pender Harbour Elementary/Secondary Choir directed by Ms. Douglas toured the Coast today sharing their sweet holiday sound.

Davis Bay Elementary students bring you a School District 46 holiday message.
