Sunshine Coast School District Hires Innovative and Transformational Assistant Superintendent<\/strong><\/a><\/p>

\"\"SUNSHINE COAST, BRITISH COLUMBIA \u2013 <\/strong>School District 46 (SD46) is thrilled to announce the appointment of Jennifer Roberts, a seasoned education professional, as the new assistant superintendent. Joining us on August 1st<\/sup>, Jennifer brings with her a wealth of experience in education and leadership. She replaces Paul Bishop, who announced his retirement in February.<\/p>

Originally from Alberta, Jennifer began her career as a teacher and then moved into the role of student services coordinator. Seeking a smaller community, Jennifer moved to Kimberley where she taught with the Rocky Mountain School District and at the College of the Rockies. Jennifer then accepted the role of CEO\/principal of Kimberley Independent School where she created new programs and built an inclusive culture and community. Most recently, Jennifer has been an administrator in the South East Kootenay School District, both at the school and district levels.<\/p>

Jennifer’s work in curriculum and assessment, data, technology, and nature-based learning has earned her a reputation as an outstanding leader in education. In her current role, Jennifer has created systems and programs that empower staff and support student learning.<\/p>

Jennifer is excited to bring her passion for student success to the Sunshine Coast School District. She shared, \u201cI am honoured to join the SD46 leadership team and community to work together towards a shared vision of educational excellence.\u00a0 I am committed to promoting a culture of collaboration, innovation, and equity to support our educators and students in achieving their full potential.\u201d<\/p>

Superintendent Kate Kerr commented, \u201cThank you to the Hiring Committee and stakeholders who contributed to the process.
