SD46 September Restart Plan<\/strong><\/span><\/p> Health and Safety:<\/strong><\/p> 1. Provide a copy of your district\u2019s updated health and safety plan that implements the Public\u00a0Health Guidance for K-12 Schools<\/a> and WorkSafeBC guidelines<\/a>.<\/p> 2. Indicate the date when your district\u2019s health and safety committee became\/will be\u00a0operational.<\/p> 3. Provide a summary of the updates made to your district\u2019s plan in the following areas:<\/p> \u2022 Cleaning and disinfecting<\/p> \u2022 Physical distancing strategies<\/p> \u2022 Hand hygiene<\/p> \u2022 Personal protective equipment for students and staff (including re-useable masks)<\/p> \u2022 Symptom assessment and illness policies\/procedures<\/p> \u2022 Improvements to school ventilation systems, if required<\/p> \u2022 Student transportation on buses<\/p> 4. Outline the schedule for health and safety training and orientation of school district staff,\u00a0including new employees and staff who work at multiple sites and\/or across multiple\u00a0cohorts in a school (e.g. counsellors, learning assistants, prep teachers, Education\u00a0Assistants).<\/p> Learning Groups:<\/strong><\/p> 1. Provide examples of your district\u2019s approach to the implementation of learning groups in\u00a0schools and during non-instructional time.<\/p> a. Include examples for elementary, middle, and secondary schools as well as small,\u00a0medium and large schools where different approaches are required.<\/p> b. Outline any shifts in curriculum, course access, or course scheduling, as well as\u00a0actions taken to mitigate the impacts to students of any changes and ensure equity.<\/p> 2. Describe how your district is organizing its workforce to balance the delivery of instruction\u00a0for learning groups and physical distancing strategies for adults who are interacting with\u00a0cohorts (e.g. staff who work at multiple sites, on call, itinerant) and across multiple cohorts\u00a0in a school (e.g. counsellors, learning assistants, prep teachers, Education Assistants,\u00a0teacher-librarians).<\/p> 3. Describe your district\u2019s plan to ensure continuity of learning in the event of a switch in\u00a0stages as well as to ensure continuity of learning for any students who need to self-isolate\u00a0or quarantine.<\/p>
