Superintendent’s Weekly Update & Survey Request. May 21, 2020<\/strong><\/p>

Dear Sunshine Coast families,<\/p>

Schools across British Columbia will be inviting students to return to part time and optional learning beginning the week of June 1st<\/sup>.\u00a0 Kindergarten to Grade 5 students will be invited to attend two days each week, while students in the older grades will be invited to attend for the equivalent of one day\/ week. Students whose parents prefer that they not attend school in June will continue to be supported by teachers. Please note in particular that after spring break teachers have been working full time on supporting remote learning. Under Stage 3, teachers will be working much more in school and have significantly less time to support home-based learning.<\/p>

Our schools will provide a joyful, active and productive learning environment for our students! We are actively working together on practical solutions for having up to 50% of our students in schools at any one time. The Ministry of Education and WorkSafeBC have provided important guidelines which we will implement to do our best to ensure that our students and staff are safe and healthy.<\/p>

School will not look the same as it was before the Spring break:<\/p>
