The fall air is fresh and it is inspiring to have everyone back working and learning in School District 46.  We had a productive summer with schools getting thoroughly cleaned and some exciting renovations and upgrades completed thanks to the hard work of our custodial and maintenance staff.  Lots of families took advantage of the WonderWheels bookmobile over the summer and that reading will help students do well this school year.

A warm welcome to all our new staff! We work hard at the district level to ensure you have the supports you need so please be sure to ask for help when you need it and let us know how we can do better.  Our strategic plan guides us to seek "Excellence in all we do" but we need your feedback to let us know how it's going at any moment.  Trustees will be visiting schools again this year in mid-January so after a few months to settle in, we look forward to seeing your classrooms and programs.

A couple of notes regarding scheduling this fall:  Our monthly board meetings are on the second Wednesday of the month at 7 pm, a change from past years and the education committee is on the fourth Wednesday of the month at 3:30 pm.  We hope these changes will enable anyone interested to attend.  All our committee meetings are open to the public and any interested staff so here is the invitation!

We have also invited our  partners in the community to a special celebration on November 3 at 4:30 pm at Chatelech Secondary School.  We will have a number of presentations of projects as well as displays regarding the many programs working within the community that support students. If staff or students are working with community members on partnerships, please encourage those community members to RSVP to This email address is being protected from spambots. All the best to everyone for a terrific school year!
